Genetically Altering Plants
Two thousand and twelve years after what we know to be the modern era, we are living with a ticking clock when it comes to just about everything. The condition of the planet is not the greatest, but lots of hope if we can change our lifestyle patterns. The medical division is coming up with great ideas on how to benefit and cure all sorts of health conditions. Of course we cannot help but to see the wonders and benefits that technology and what may be out in the stores next week. But the hardest to comprehend is the possible shortage of food that we may be facing in just one hundred years. For this we are seeing all types of alternatives taken by the industry, to produce in a massive scale no matter what it takes.
Genetically altering plants to bear fruit, or vegetables, grain, whatever you name it so that we have more food in the market is a controversial issue and it is the reason why organic markets exist. The growth of populations leaves no alternatives, this is the best that can be done for now. As consumers we must push for farmers and scientists to work together and come up with better solutions, genetically altering anything seems like a small bridge until the ultimate solution, which should start educating the masses on waisting less.
